"UFOS and Catholicism, particularly the virgin Mary

--------------------------

- angel hair, a sticky, fibrous substance that is often reported falling from the sky in connection with UFO sightings, but as the name implies, it is also connected with the appearance of angels or the Virgin Mary

- more similarities between appearances are

- heatwaves, messages, and healings, all commonly reported at sightings of the Virgin Mary and also UFOS,

- there is also the thread of

- the explanation is yours to infer,

- scientific explanations of angel hair, and ufo sightings "

I think this was notes for something I wanted to bring up in a writing class but I got carried away. An interesting connection. The mystical, religious, and alien all combine here.

"monolofue notes

hear that?

have you heard his voice?

someone has to take the place,

the armored lady will take that place,"

These are old notes from a roleplaying game session. These are fun for me to read now because at the time they were important points for me to touch on during a monologue but now they are basically meaningless. There are a lot of notes like this on my computer.

"Cinsault Stories

The trumpeter

A trumpeter marched int he army, blowing on his horn, stirring the spirits of his comrades,

he was captured, h ebegged fo rhis life I kill n one, only play my trumpet, i have no weapons, his captors replied, more reason to take your life, you do not fight yourself, you stir up others to do so.

The three tradesmen

a war was coming, and the citizens of a town deabted on how to erect walls for their humble town

the carpenter said to use wood, the stone-mason said to use stone, a tanner suggested leather,

every man for himself.

The two Cocks

Spied from up high on his oerch by an eagle who sunk his claws into the cock's back and carried him away. The beaten cock came from his hiding place and clucked without a rival.

Pride comes before the fall

The farmer and the fox,

A farmer was much annoyed by a fox that came and stole away his fowls at night. so he set a trap and caught the fox. angered he tied corn husks to the foxes tail and set the fox alight. However the foc made straight for the fields of corn and burned up all the farmers crops. all burnt up.

Revenge is a two edged sword.

The Stag With One Eye

a stag had gone blind in one eye

grazed by the ocean, with his good eye to the land to watch for hounds,

sailors in the sea saw the buck and downed him with an arrow.

deer lay dying. and he realized, misfortune often assails us from an unexpected quarter.

The Man With Two Sweethearts

A man had two lovers, one older and one younger, the elder of the two didnt like having a sweetheart who was so much younger than herself so when he came to see her,

she pulled the dark hairs out of his head

An Ass once found a Lion's skin which the hunters had left out in the sun to dry. He put it on and went towards his native village. All fled at his approach, both men and animals, and he was a proud Ass that day. In his delight he lifted up his voice and brayed, but then every one knew him, and his owner came up and gave him a sound cudgelling for the fright he had caused. And shortly afterwards a Fox came up to him and said: "Ah, I knew you by your voice."

Fine clothes may disguise, but silly words will disclose a fool.

A Mouse who always lived on the land, by an unlucky chance formed an intimate acquaintance with a Frog, who lived for the most part in the water. The Frog, one day intent on mischief, bound the foot of the Mouse tightly to his own. Thus joined together, the Frog first of all led his friend the Mouse to the meadow where they were accustomed to find their food. After this, he gradually led him towards the pool in which he lived, until reaching the very brink, he suddenly jumped in, dragging the

Mouse with him. The Frog enjoyed the water amazingly, and swam croaking about, as if he had done a good deed. The unhappy Mouse was soon suffocated by the water, and his dead body floated about on the surface, tied to the foot of the Frog. A Hawk observed it, and, pouncing upon it with his talons, carried it aloft. The Frog, being still fastened to the leg of the Mouse, was also carried off a prisoner, and was eaten by the Hawk.

Harm hatch, harm catch."

These were stories I collected quickly for playing a character in another roleplaying game. The character (Cinsault) was a storyteller and jester and I wanted to always have a parable for all situations. Since my mother read Rudyard Kipling's Just So stories to me as a child I have been a fan of little pieces like this.

"self to city, self to others, self to nature, self to MEDIA,

- something Laing mentions,

- warhol quote

- media as a solution to loneliness

- vividness with which laing sees the hopper paintings

Being SEEN

"functions to simultaneously entrap and expose" like GLASS like ICE.

voyeurism

- would go into the corn field by my house, huge field, big enough that you could look into the sky and balance it so there was nothing at the corners of your vision, it was all sky.

- fantasy where i grew wings and was just a bird who could not be seen, like a specter,

- sci fi story, seven secitons of society, each wake up one day a week, then put into a hibernation,"

Notes for an auto philosophy class discussion. The Laing I was thinking of was Olivia Laing specifically "The Lonely City" and her discussion of Edward Hopper's paintings. The Warhol quote I am drawing from is this:

“Before I was shot, I always thought that I was more half-there than all-there – I always suspected that I was watching TV instead of living life. People sometimes say that the way things happen in movies is unreal, but actually, it's the way things happen in life that's unreal. The movies make emotions look so strong and real, whereas when things really do happen to you, it's like watching television – you don't feel anything. Right when I was being shot and ever since, I knew that I was watching television. The channels switch, but it's all television.”

It is one of my favorites.
